Do you want the mountain views without the hike for your small wedding or elopement in North Carolina? You’re in luck! Here are the best small wedding venues near Asheville with beautiful views!
As a small wedding and elopement photographer, I have a lot of couples that want a wedding that is immersed in nature and private. Unfortunately, it isn’t always feasible to take a larger group on a hike to get privacy and beautiful mountain views. However, I always suggest a few beautiful venues to my couples when they want the mountain experience without the hike.
If you’re including guests in your elopement plans, sometimes it’s just better to have a venue for a myriad of reasons. For many couples, they want to include family members who might have mobility issues so hiking isn’t an option. Another thing to consider is weather – rain isn’t always a welcomed guest! Furthermore, I always try to consider safety. I mean, let’s face it – your Aunt Judy twisting her ankle can really dampen your wedding experience! Plus, flushing toilets are something folks tend to love!
So, if you decide a wedding venue is for you, you shouldn’t have to sacrifice the mountain views! Here are some of my favorite small wedding venues Western North Carolina has to offer!

I love this venue because it has some of the best mountain views around! It’s located about 40 minutes from Asheville and comes with 360 degree views of the mountains! Something Blue is 50 acre, privately owned property that can accommodate up to 34 guests (they’ll be able to accommodate up to 60 guests in April 2026!). Plus, they have an array of custom and all inclusive packages to choose from!
Additionally, they have a newly built reception space, rooms to get ready in, and ample parking. Plus, you can drive right up to it and it’s ADA accessible.
Will you need an officiant for your ceremony? They include that too!
Paint Rock Farm is located in Hot Springs, NC and offers plenty of glamping opportunities for you and/or your guests! You’re sure to find a beautiful backdrop for your ceremony on their expansive property!
This venue boasts 162 acres of refuge, along with a 3200 square foot historic barn to use as a reception or ceremony space.
I love this venue because it has beautiful mountain and river views. Plus, I love their river perch cabins! The cabins are primitive but if you can deal with using a bath house, they’re perfect! You can enjoy a cup of coffee on porch in the morning and then hop on one of their trails after breakfast.
For all of these reasons, Paint Rock Farm could be the venue for you!
Laurel Falls is located just 20 minutes from Downtown Asheville making it a very convenient option! Plus, I love this venue because it’s a one stop shop! You can also stay on-site in one of their 4 historic cabins nestled on 18 acres which can accommodate up to 20 overnight guests.
While you can get married at any location on the property, they have a beautiful ceremony site with mountain views, and spaces to hold a reception for up to 75 guests.
Between the mountain views and private waterfalls, you’ll feel immersed in nature while still having the convenience of a venue.
I hope these beautiful venues help you get started with planning your small wedding near Asheville, NC! Additionally, if you’re looking for more information on planning an elopement in North Carolina, I have a whole page dedicated to this subject on my website. You can learn more by clicking here.
